The NOHRD SlimBeam, the German Design Award 2016 winner, is a rubberised weight-stacked exercise machine that incorporates precision engineering, sculptural form, and exceptional performance in one cable machine. Inspired by the symmetries found in nature, its striking butterfly rope pulleys open from the centre with a magnetic resistance system that calibrates every pull for movement that is fluid and controlled. Emerging from the chrysalis, the SlimBeam’s butterfly mechanism allows users weight load to be perfectly centred whilst users are able to use one or both handles. Easily adjustable to any height, the cables effortlessly glide on precision-engineered ball-bearing wheels. This design ensures consistent, evenly distributed resistance that follows the body’s natural path of motion, whilst maintaining central control that never pulls the user off balance. WEIGHT PLATES

Thoughtfully designed for comfort in both personal and shared environments, the SlimBeam’s weight plates are fully rubberised to eliminate the noise typically associated with traditional cable machines. This results in a distraction-free training experience suited to home gyms, studios and residential settings alike. As standard, the SlimBeam is equipped with a 75 kg weight stack, divided into fifteen 5 kg plates, allowing for precise load selection and smooth progression across a wide range of exercises.

TACTILE AND POWERFUL

THE HANDLES

The SlimBeam is fitted with finely crafted rope handles or wooden handles that offer a secure, comfortable grip while allowing natural freedom of movement. This tactile surface supports confident control during both slow, controlled exercises and dynamic pulls.
