Seeing all the leather cutoffs from his production line that would otherwise be wasted, Dominik Kuprecht, founder and CEO of NOHRD, developed the first SwingBell prototype with his team driven by a mission to reduce waste and push German crafstmanship to the fore. From the punching of the leather to every last stitch, 95% of the Swing collection is entirely made by the hand.

The vegetable-tanned leather used is sourced exclusively from European tanneries, filled with iron granules for weight force, adding a tactile element to training. Finished with solid wooden handles, the result is a free weight that resembles a beautiful leather pouch rather than fitness equipment. Its exceptional durability comes from NOHRD's fidelity to using natural materials and handmade production.

BEYOND STRENGTH & ENDURANCE

SWINGBELL ADVANTAGE

Conventional, static weights focus on linear movements that train large muscle groups. In contrast, the SwingBells generate resistance through freely moving iron pellets within its leather pouch. As the pellets shift with each swing or change in direction, the load becomes dynamic rather than fixed, enabling constant micro-adjustment which stabilise smaller muscles and engages connective tissues such as fascia, improving coordination, grip strength and joint stability. The result is a more responsive, functional, and sustainable form of strength training that engages more muscle groups more effectively.

Each SwingBell is meticulously filled by hand with tiny iron granules, creating a deliberate shifting force as well as an added tactile dimension to your training. This presents an extra challenge to your muscles, allowing you to engage often neglected, smaller muscle groups with every session. Over time, this promotes more precise movement patterns and a deeper connection between strength, coordination and control.

The SwingTower is a free standing storage option for your SwingBells; crafted from solid hardwood, it includes with a full set of 8 total weights (2 x 2, 4, 6, 8 kg).
